I showed you this amazing jumper dress in my last thrift haul, if you missed it I linked it for your convenience =D This dress has many possibilities, today I'm just adding some plaid to it. This look is all thrifted woohoo.

This tropical dress was an amazing find. The story with it was I went rogue and hand washed despite the dry clean only tag and the colors bled a bit. I still love it. Paired it with a taupe sheer short sleeve and my wedge booties.

There's always a caveat with any good thing. Spring and summer is a time for sniffing, coughing, and an overall glamorous ruddy look. This is what I use on the bad days. 1, eating citrus like grapefruit and lemon. Its so refreshing and they're packed with vitamin C. 2, a teaspoon of local honey, extra emphasis on local. It can help you deal with the pollen spread by insects. Darker honey is said to be a better decongestant. Honey also works to soothe my throat. 3, water, great for flushing mucous. 4, these are the best old school cough lozenges, they're very potent and nothing yucky added. 5, Olbas oil, best described as Vicks vapor rub on crack. Its menthol and eucalyptus oil that is very potent and opens anything that is congested! I also put a couple of drops in boiling water give it a couple of seconds and then inhale aaaah the clarity! I keep this in my bag too and waft it across my nose for quick relief. Let me know what natural things work for you.

We're having a brief spring interruption here. Its gone back to chilly weather, so I'm wearing this thrifted thick cable knit over my thrifted vintage slip.

You know what I did? I was ahead of the game and oh so clever putting away my winter clothes, and now we're back in the cold. This favorite dress wasn't put away though, and I'm glad I can wear it. Its a vintage Goldworm dress. Makes me feel so tall, comfortable, and chic! What a great trio. I wore an orange lip (Nars Heat Wave) to brighten it up.

Radiant orchid looks pretty on various skin tones. Today I paired Makeup Forever no 9 blush/shadow with Milani's Violet Volt. Full on application of Violet Volt is hard to wear in the day because its iridescent and ultra bold, but it can be mellowed out with simple blotting.

It came and went too fast. Had a fun birthday party for my son and..
Made a fresh batch of lemon water, I'm trying to drink it regularly for my health. Its high in vitamin C and great for the immune system and skin, here are more reasons (link) I had a discount Goodwill card so a visit was in order, you can expect a fun little haul coming soon. Had some ultra sweet "Wild Ass Wine".

What a gorgeous day it was today. I've missed writing, but I have been sick, now I'm on the mend so thrifted looks shall go on! On this easy Sunday I wore my silk thrifted tropical tank and some mid rise jeans that were retail but very cheap! Also these thrifted leather sandals I may just live in for the complete spring/summer. I kid, there are too many shoes to be worn.
A random neighborhood cat. Her name is Tip and she demands attention.

This floral skirt is a recent buy. I thrifted it for $2. Its a little large so I cinched the waist using a brooch. My fringe bag was a yard sale buy. Bags like these require you to be neat about what you carry.

enjoyed the sun! Even though I adore fall and winter festivities and fashion, sometimes too much of a good thing isn't so good. Peachy pedicure to go with my thrifted leather sandals. This color is by Pure Ice called Twinkle, and I believe its a near dupe to Nars Orgasm polish.
Tried some broiled pineapple with cinnamon and honey. It was very tasty and looks so summery on the table too.

You can really get fierce opinions when it comes to Birkenstocks. I was on the hate side, until I ran into these bright yellow ones when I was thrifting. Is there anything that cannot be made chic with something striped?

Another old beloved piece that I thrifted a few years back. This taupe lace cropped fringe top is forever chic in my book. Its nice to be able to wear it without layering (its 70 some degrees out today!) And its pretty cropped so a high waist midi skirt was in order (also thrifted) And my leather sandals were from Asos some time ago.

These pants make me feel very tall and pairing them with platform peep toes help with that too hah. Simple white tank was also thrifted, I like how its simple but buttons up in the back. Trusty sunnies, a must have for me because I'm still getting over some stomach thing and my complexion is ugh.

This weekend called for lazing about in bed and around the house. It was so rainy and gloomy. This little stone cherub I saw at a thrift shop pretty much sums it up. So I hit the sauna aaahh, that is a quick fix. And some cheerful mail came to me, Sephora's VIB sale. Glad my birthday is coming hah! Yay for occasional frivolous spending.

Channeling a little 1960s with this shift dress I thrifted recently. It has clear sequins all over which gives it a cool wet look. I attempted a small beehive hairstyle, it just turned out to be a side swept look. I either don't have enough hair or haven't mastered the art of teasing. I'll have to try again.
Chelsea boots were from Goodwill.

Excluding taxes and my accessories, this look was under $10. Hooray for cheap and chic comfort! This $1 asymmetrical cropped top reminds me of Proenza Schouler's fall 2011 blue printed garments, that print really resonated with me. (this image will show you what I mean)
Black jogger trousers were on clearance at Wal Mart, yep Wal Mart, for $3. And my heels were a recent buy from Goodwill, leather too, $5!

Thrifted look with two recent thrift finds, this jacquard vest and light weight military jacket. Weather update: its still cold.

A few random pieces from this weekend. Far left, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, I haven't finished it yet, I love it so far, but I'm afraid its going to be an Irish tragedy. Upper middle, a decant of Dolce and Gabbana Pour Femme Intense, with a name including the word intense I was hoping for just that, some intense intrigue. This perfume is pretty simple, mostly sweet creamy marshmallow not lasting longer than an hour on the skin. I'm so proud of myself able to walk into Sephora and walk out with a sample only. Below, lavender seed packet. I planted some lavender in old egg cartons, in about 18 days they should be sprouting! If my puppy doesn't somehow eat them all. Below, Batiste dry shampoo in coconut tropical. Initial spray is the typical chemical aerosol smell, but then it does leave your hair smelling coconutty, but most importantly, it adds volume and takes away grease. Far right, these new (to me) leather sandals I thrifted. I was able to wear them on Saturday, we had a sample of summer that day.
Alexander Wang Fall 2011 this gorgeous metallic shoe was displayed and adored, but at about $600, now discounted to $300 some its not practical. Here's a dupey looking pair from Boohoo for $55.

This print is always in and the very look of it is cheerful. If you looked into my closet you would see, next to the hoards of plaid, a lot of polka dots, I usually find something great and polka dotted when I go out thrifting. Here are some cute polka dotted things that would be fun to have, some are actually affordable! Might make you dizzy >.o
Umbrella, you could find many different places for a thrifty price, this one is $14 at Nordstroms, Polka dot tights, again something you can find many places, these are $48 by Alice+Olivia (I KNOW I can find some cheaper) Polka dot trousers, I adore these! $33 at River Island. Very cool watch is affordable at $25 from 2B bebe. A favorite on this collage is that chic bow tie by Saint Laurent $295, sigh you and I both knew sticker shock was going to happen on that one. And these fashion not function hiking boots are an affordable $55 from Boohoo.
